1. Allen, CJ

Georgia - 6010 / 235

Two year starter, Barnesville, GA. First team pre-season All-SEC in 2025. Muscular somewhat compact frame, he possesses solid functional strength and athleticism for a Mike linebacker. Has some experience as a fullback as well. Excellent initial read and react showing patience and precise angles to the ball. Smooth lateral mover with ability to maintain leverage on a back as the play moves outside. Excellent range in pursuit. Adept using his hands working through blocks on the move. Does the job scraping outside and squaring up ball carriers in the alley. Shows wrap and drive tackling skill. He’s improved in coverage getting depth in zone drops with quick reactions with the ball in the air. Made some plays on the ball during 2024 and needs to build on that in 2025. Not the best in man cover as he can get separated on route breaks. Occasionally will overrun a ball carrier in space.

2. Hill Jr., Anthony*

Texas - 6030 / 235

Three year starter, Denton, TX. Second team pre-season All-SEC in 2025. Plays off the ball from over the guard to overhang. Technically sound he’s rarely out of position. Has been the quarterback of the Texas defense the past two seasons with excellent communication pre snap and during pass plays. Solid inside run fits he shuffles downhill laterally and takes the right path to the ball. Adept at taking on blocks on the move and gaining ball side leverage. Long arms help him stun and separate from blocks on the move. Can chase to the perimeter and is a solid wrap up tackler. Instincts and angles to the ball make up for some hip tightness that shows up at times changing directions.  Flashes blitz skill but can get too easily blocked. Smooth zone pass drops with good depth. Cover skills are average as he will lose the throwing lane staring in the backfield at times.

3. Reese, Arvell*

Ohio State - 6040 / 245

One year starter, Cleveland, OH. Physical player with outstanding length and size for a linebacker. Reese has been a backup and special teams player with significant snaps in 2024. Burst out of the gate in 2025 with some outstanding play. Versatile, lining up all over the front playing off the ball inside and overhang along with lining up on the edge. Shows natural instincts inside and generally locates the ball. Uses long arms and violent hands to stack and shed as well as slip blocks on the move. Can clog up holes attacking downhill. He’s a smooth lateral mover and has range to get to the sideline to make a play. Length helps in coverage and he gets good depth of drop stressing the throwing lane and creating issues for quarterbacks. Has solid pass rush tools coming off the edge with a closing burst. Occasionally will over run a play being too aggressive and he can get caught up in space at times. Ascending player with legitimate NFL upside.

4. York, Taurean*

Texas A&M - 5100 / 235

Three year starter, Temple, TX. Undersized but well put together inside linebacker prospect. Extreme athleticism and hot motor. Smart player who consistently makes the right reads on inside run fits. Can get downhill or shuffle laterally as the read dictates. Quick to react he has excellent agility in traffic with a nose for the football. Has quick hands to stack and slip blocks on the move. Usually gets ball side leverage on blocks.  Active feet and a closing burst gets him to a lot of tackles with excellent range in pursuit. Fundamentally sound gather and drive tackler he rarely misses. In coverage has the twitch to match backs out of the backfield. Has very good zone awareness to balance multiple underneath routes and is quick to plant and drive with the ball in the air. Size and length limitations show up at times on straight up blocks as he can be engulfed by interior blockers. In the right scheme he can be a solid NFL starter.

5. Golday, Jake

Cincinnati - 6040 / 240

Three year starter, Arlington, TN. Honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2024. Transfer from Central Arkansas where he played from 2021-2023. Athletic off the ball linebacker with length and height. Has a high motor and above average agility and range. As a result he makes a lot of splash plays in pursuit.  Plays inside and overhang and some on the ball edge. Solid inside run fits with downhill and lateral shuffle with a burst to meet ball carriers in the hole. Uses hands well to stun blockers and can slip blocks on the move. Moves well laterally, generally takes good pursuit angles and tackles well in space. As an overhang/edge player flashes pass rush skill and with a clear path can chase down quarterbacks on the move. Solid zone pass cover skill with depth of drop and ability to find the throwing lane. Can handle man cover assignments but may lack speed for some targets. Will get upright taking on interior blockers and locked up at times.
