1. McCoy, Jermod*

Tennessee - 5100 / 193

One year starter, Whitehouse, TX. Consensus first team All-SEC and consensus second team All-America in 2024. Transfer from Oregon State in 2024. Well put together athletic corner with extreme quickness and agility. As of this writing has not seen the field in 2025 as he is recovering from an ACL injury suffered in January. Has experience in a wide variety of coverage and technique including quarters, hard corner, cover three, press and off man. Often aligns in a press position and either plays press man or bails into lateral run on the release. His ability to mirror and drive on route breaks is incredible. His positioning throughout the route tree is elite in both man and zone coverage. As a deep outside defender he’s adept at covering ground defending overlapping zones. Sudden plant and drive on the throw he gets his hands on a lot of balls. Wins most 50/50 battles. Solid tackling skill, he consistently secures tackles in space. Will give up leverage occasionally in press. Getting healthy is a key for him.

2. Delane, Mansoor

LSU - 6000 / 190

Three year starter, Silver Spring, MD. Transfer from Virginia Tech in 2025. Third team All-ACC in 2024. Long athletic corner with experience in multiple alignments, techniques and coverage. Has been an effective outside zone corner primarily in deep quarter and third concepts. Has also experience in press and off man. In off man or zone coverage often aligns with a big cushion and uses a flat foot catch technique on vertical releases. Uses his long arms to disrupt route releases. Has excellent footwork and mirror ability to react to route breaks. Flips his hips easily in transition as the route is extended vertically. Has the speed to stay with deep routes. Excellent zone awareness and positioning with ability to balance and react to multiple outside routes. Adept at reading the quarterback while looking for work in overlapping zones. Has tackling skill and range to make plays across the field. Can give up yards after contact as he lacks great functional strength. Closing burst is average breaking on the ball.

3. Harris, AJ

Penn State - 6010 / 191

Two year starter, Phenix City, AL. Third team All-Big 10 in 2024. Solid height and build for a corner. Versatile with experience in a variety of coverage and technique. Equally adept in all phases. Quick shuffle pedal in off coverage he maintains a cushion and times transitions to stay in phase throughout the route. Agility is excellent as seen in his ability to mirror route breaks, flip his hips and accelerate out of a break. Has the speed to cover deep. Stop/start quickness is elite. As a press corner, he rarely gives up leverage and flashes a disruptive off-hand jam on outside releases. In outside zone concepts does the job balancing overlapping zones and has excellent peripheral vision to see threats and quarterbacks intentions. Covers ground quickly closing voids in zone. Has tackling skill and has made some big hits on the perimeter. Quarterbacks tend to look elsewhere which explains some of his lack of ball production. He has fewer plays on the ball than ideal.

4. Terrell, Avieon*

Clemson - 5110 / 180

Two year starter, Atlanta, GA. First team All-ACC in 2024. Undersized as far as his weight but he plays bigger than he is. Mostly a nickel with some exposure to outside corner. Plays both press and off in man coverage but at his best as an underneath zone defender in the slot. Quick feet in his drop, changing speeds to get into the throwing lane. Excellent balancing high low route concepts. Can get under deep routes and is sudden to plant and drive on underneath throws. Has been productive stressing quarterback’s ability to stick balls in tight windows. Ball skills are solid. Rarely misses a tackle with fundamental gather, wrap and drive tackling skill. Can mirror shifty ball carriers in space. Has been effective blitzing from an overhang position with a closing burst off the edge. As a man to man defender has the speed to cover deep but has some trouble giving up leverage allowing receivers too much space to get open. Should find a home as a nickel in a zone-heavy scheme.

5.  Abney ll, Keith*

Arizona State – 6000 / 190

Two year starter, Waxahachie, TX. Decent size and length for a corner. Abney is a high football IQ player with excellent technical skill. Has experience in a wide variety of technique and coverage concepts. Plays press and off man along with quarters, cover three, and hard corner cover two. As a press corner he can be physical with a two and off-hand jam and ignores first move away from leverage. Shows excellent footwork and transitions. Keeps focus on the receiver and has been effective mirroring throughout the route. Has enough speed to stay in phase deep and has a recovery burst if separated. In off coverage will pedal, or press and bail along with an occasional big cushion catch technique.  Solid hard corner technique balancing high/low routes. Looks for work in the deep zones and is effective closing voids. Has ball skills with a knack for getting his hand to the catch point. Solid in run support with fundamental tackling skill.  Occasional extra step reacting to route breaks. May lack top end speed.
