Two-year starter. Two-time All Mountain West, first team in 2024 in addition to earning first team All-America honors after leading the FBS with 16 touchdowns. Spent three seasons at quarterback, starting six games under center in 2021. He was a dual threat who eventually made the move to receiver and after a season of very little action, he blossomed into a credible NFL prospect. Evolving ball skills that show a knack for coming up big in contested situations. Has a lot of experience downfield in jump ball situations. Times his leaps and reaches well. Coordinated and a balanced mover capable of late, accurate reactions to the ball. Fluid lower body joints capable of bendy but stable movement in all directions. Competitive after the catch with contact balance and vision. Lacks the second gear to pose as a deep threat against NFL speed. Routes and hands need to be more crisp for the physical profile he has. Simply does not have a lot of margin to work with. Older prospect with a maxed out frame and limited athletic gifts. He produced when called upon last season, but a lot of it was engineered for him. He will need to tighten up several areas of his game to have a fighting chance beyond being a back end gadget option.
2024 Stats: 104-1382, 13.3 ypr, 16 TD, 2 passing TD. OSR:31/42. VJ-34.0. Draft projection: 6th-7th round
