Three year starter (two at Yale). Second team All-Ivy league in 2022 and 2023. Spent five years at Yale including the Covid year in 2020. Decided to play one more year of football and used the last year of eligibility at Georgia Tech. Has good size and physicality and showed he could play at the highest level of FBS football. He’s gritty and plays with fire under his shoes. Primarily a blocking tight end he’s been a low volume target during his career but blocking is what he does best. A very physical player who gets movement at the point of attack. Has a great punch with strong hands along with accurate hand placement. Lined up mostly inline and with minimal flexed and move positions. Possesses good strength with a low backend and an upward rise on his drive block. On the move, he could be a fullback type who can kick out or trap a defender. As a receiver has been strictly a short space player who lacks a burst or route running skill. Route tree is very limited. He would best be suited in a two tight end offense or in an even bigger personnel grouping. Has a background on kickoff and field goal teams which will help in making a team. Will need some development as a receiver to be serviceable on an NFL team but has value as a sub package blocking tight end.
