Two-year starter. Honorable mention All-Big 10 in 2024. Position versatility with significant snaps coming in the slot and at safety. Possesses a smooth pedal to quickly gain depth. Polished scootch technique with quick feet and solid short-area burst to maintain proper leverage. Underneath he is a patient zone defender with a good feel for route concepts. Always seems to be in the right spot to make a play, thanks to his smarts and instincts. Solid plant-and-drive ability with decent explosiveness out of his stance. Quick to diagnose short game and drives to break up passes at the catchpoint. Physicality in catch man helps him disrupt timing and stay in-phase. Strong hands when coming in contact with blockers. Tough at the point of contact and will hold his own against bigger blocking tight ends. Able to undercut blockers on the perimeter to meet ball carriers in the backfield on outside runs.
