Tennessee | Hometown: North Highlands, CA | HT: 6017 | WT: 303 | 40 time: 5.15 | Hand: 1034 | Arm: 3334 | Wing: 8012
Fifth-year lineman for Tennessee’s defense. Played all across the defensive line from zero-tech out to the edge, and possesses the versatility to do so at the next level as well. Well-built defensive line prospect with solid weight and arm length. His athleticism shows up all over the field. Solid burst off the line with timing down. Fires into gaps with explosiveness and toughness to work his way to the other side. Twitch at the snap to cross-face in an instant and work upfield into the gap. Powerful on contact and gets immediate drive into the backfield. Lands his hands inside to control his target and shed with efficiency. Engages and creates extension to hold his point in the run game. Impressive pass rusher with a plethora of tools and moves to win on regular occasion. Has shown a spin move, chop-and-rip, club, hand swipes, and other moves to win. Also shows an assortment of counter rush moves and rarely stalls out. Speed-to-power is excellent and helps him overpower linemen on the edge and interior. Plays with a high motor and is difficult to block for long periods of time. Has made four starts in his five-year career and plays a very limited number of snaps a game. Light production throughout his career. Lots of inconsistencies show up in the run game. When he doesn’t get through the gap when shooting, he will often get washed down the line and away from the play. Needs to work on lowering his pad level off the ball to improve leverage and utilize his strength better; plays very high.
2024 Stats: 18 T, 4 TFL, 4 sacks, 3 QBH. Draft projection: 5th-6th round
