2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TATE RATLEDGE:
Georgia | Hometown: Rome, GA | HT: 6064 | WT: 308 | 40 time: 4.97 | Hand: 1038 | Arm: 3212 | Wing: 7934
Three year starter. First team All-SEC the last two seasons along with first team All -America in 2024. A two time CFP National Champion. Tall but muscular frame. Injury claimed Tate for four weeks in the middle of his senior season. Played through it. Gets his feet in the ground and plows forward. Big man who gets his hands inside on the defender. Gets his backend into the hole and turns the defender. Straight ahead get-off is explosive, gets hip to hip with the center and moves the one technique backwards. Secures the double team before climbing. Can get to the second level and seal linebackers. Solid interior pass protector. Well-schooled, “sits” down against the bull rush. Passes off the twist effortlessly. Is firm at the line of scrimmage on run/pass/option action. Delivers a strong pass set punch. Plays with great enthusiasm and passion for the game. Brings an edgy attitude to interior line play. Collisions defensive ends trying an inside charge and defensive tackles taking an inside charge. Mobility on pass protection affected by injury. Gets his chest out over his knees, making him a bit too top heavy with too much lean. In general, plays with too high a pad level but still shows power. Playing with more consistent knee bend could help at the next level. Length is sub par for an offensive lineman. His past injury history is something to be evaluated. Good solid collegiate player who will show well at the next level.
