Three-year starter. Spent two seasons at West Virginia before two years at Houston and then to Miami for the 2024 season. All-Big 12 in 2023. He is an attractive height-weight-speed prospect. That has carried over to pre-draft workouts and he has enough production across multiple offenses to give legs to the thought of him putting it all together at some point. While he never quite produced at a high level consistently (he broke 100 yards just once over his last 22 games), his upside is enough to try and develop. There is a tenacity to his arsenal that makes him more than just an athlete that plays football. He should be given a two-to-three year window to develop the skill set but there is not much he has proven on special teams, which can hinder a team’s desire to use a roster spot on him. A strong presence with a physical mindset. Firm against contact but also possesses the long speed to pose as a credible deep threat. Sinks his hips and decelerates well on comeback routes. Has the lower body fluidity to get in and out of breaks well. Disappeared for stretches and did not get open the way an athlete with his tool set should. Telegraphs routes. Needs to be stronger and tougher at the catch point. Lacks the quantity, but has the quality of tape to create promise.
2024 Stats: 36-509, 14.1 ypr, 2 TD. OSR:12/42. VJ-41.5. Draft projection: 5th-6th round
