Three year starter (one at Memphis). Was a high school quarterback who walked on at Memphis. Became a tight end and broke out in 2022 and was first team All-AAC that year. Transferred to Mississippi in 2023 and was second team All-SEC in 2023 and third team in 2024. Over his career he had 112 receptions and 14 touchdowns. Finished his career catching 10 passes in the Peach Bowl and being named the games Offensive MVP. Versatile in alignment, working both in the slot and attached. Known as a good “hands” catcher who won’t go down after the reception. His intermediate routes were his calling card. He is effective in short to intermediate spaces finding the soft spots in coverage. Great body control to make tough catches. A much-improved blocker as his career progressed. Reliable run blocker, he flashes power and ability to move defenders on inline blocks. Can seal the edge positioning his hips to wall off a defender. Needs to work on hand placement as his hands can get outside the frame giving a defender an opening. Inconsistent separation from defenders on route breaks. Limited as a route runner because of his average speed. Can improve with refined route running skill. Could bring value to a team looking to play more “12” personnel. Has upside as a two way tight end with backup potential. Additionally he’s been a core special team player in his career and should warrant a look.
