Kentucky | Hometown: Nicholasville, KY | HT: 6045 | WT: 306 | 40 time: 5.02 | Hand: 0914 | Arm: 3118 | Wing: 7758
Four year starter. Second team All-SEC in 2023 and third team last fall. The two time team captain played six years at Kentucky. Very active in his community. Versatile enough to have played guard and tackle prior to three years at center. Has played in 44 career games with 35 consecutive starts. A blue collar worker and stabilizing force in the center of the line making line calls and adjustments. Solid snap and initial get off. Shotgun snaps are very consistent. Keeps square with balance and gets his hands inside very well. Gets on the edge of the defender and drives him. Ability to eliminate linebackers and defensive backs in the screen game is a plus. In pass protection shows a decent punch and footwork. Show quality ability to pick up blitz and adjust to stunts. He’s normally technically sound in protection schemes. Base can be too wide from time to time and it affects his ability to slide in pass protection. Can be slow reacting and recovering. Can get a bit too high at the second level. Needs to work on sinking his anchor more consistently. A short-armed player who has struggled when a big nose guard is playing over him. He could project to guard and his versatility is a plus. He will have a shot to make a team as quality depth.
