Four-year starter. First-team All-Big 12 this past season, second-team honors in 2023. Fifty-three collegiate games and 45 starts under his belt. Massive edge prospect with a muscular frame, but shorter-than-ideal arms. Versatility to bump inside on passing downs with his sheer size. Great explosiveness out of his stance and uses his long legs to make ground in his first steps. Comes off the ball with low pad level and is able to get immediate push into the backfield converting speed-to-power. Can hold a point in the run game. Uses a quick arm-over when engaged to get around smaller linemen early in the play. Unafraid of contact and will throw his whole body into linemen to create knockback. Slants into the next gap over with impressive suddenness and physicality. His burst matched with a chop-and-rip helps him beat tackles on the edge. His stab move opens up lanes inside to hit the signal caller. Possesses a relentless motor and makes plays with second efforts. On the backside he is patient to diagnose the play and fights to catch up to the runner from behind. Overpowers runners with his size to finish tackles. In odd fronts he keeps his hips square when diagnosing run, but overcommits early and vacates his gap. When he loses momentum off the ball he does not possess the strength to get significant push. His pass rush moves are unpolished and he lacks identity without a signature move. Tightness in his lower half causes him to stall out on the edge often. His cornering ability is hindered by hip tightness.
