Georgia | Hometown: Bakersfield, CA | HT: 6042 | WT: 245 | 40 time: 4.64 | Hand: 0958 | Arm: 3318 | Wing: 8078
Three year starter (two at Stanford). Second team All-Pac 12 in 2022. Played at Stanford for four years. Transferred to Georgia in 2024. Suffered a season ending injury early in 2023 temporarily derailing what was looking like a stellar career. High football IQ who doesn’t make any unnecessary errors. A “hands” catcher who gets his head around quickly and eyes back to the quarterback. He catches the ball away from his body, runs good routes and has strong hands. An excellent middle of the field target, he understands coverages and finds the openings in zones. Versatile in his alignments as both an inline and a “move” guy. Flashes skill as a run blocker. Is particularly good in his hand placement and as the second man on the double team block, knowing when to come off to the next level. Can be overpowered at the point of attack. Because of his base he sometimes has balance issues. Needs to sustain his blocks longer. Loses his focus at times which contributes to him dropping some passes. Lacks elite speed getting downfield and may be limited in his route tree. Patterns can lack precision and he has trouble with sticky man coverage. One alarming factor could be that his production has never matched 2022 or the opening game in 2023. There are some tools to work with and he shows two way potential as a backup or third tight end.
2024 Stats: 15-185, 12.3 ypr. Draft projection: 7th round/PFA
