Georgia | Hometown: Stone Mountain, GA | HT: 6036 | WT: 327 | 40 time: 5.15 | Hand: 1012 | Arm: 3258 | Wing: 7914
Three year starter. Has been a rotational player in Georgia’s defensive front the past three seasons. Big body with a thick build and upper and lower body power. Interior defender who’s played three, two, 2i, one and zero techniques. Two gap player who’s a classic space eater. Normally plays at a low pad level and is hard to move. Consistently neutralizes double teams. Shoots his hands into a blocker at the snap with a powerful inside punch. His power can jolt a blocker back on the strike. At times will show a powerful club move to shove a blocker aside working upfield. Tackles well in a short space with knee bend and pop. Shows a power bull rush to push the pocket as a pass rusher. Inconsistent at the snap with a late get off. Sometimes pops up on the snap before moving forward. When pad level is high, he struggles to get extension and is easily stalemated. Lateral movement tends to be slow and segmented, inhibiting him from getting in on a lot of plays down the line. Has tight hips and limited agility. Struggles to redirect on gap charges and has missed some tackles in the backfield as a result. Other than pushing the pocket and an occasional angle rush there has been little production in the pass rush. His inconsistent get-off often gets him stuck on the line of scrimmage. As a big body with power he could have a rotational two down role in the NFL.
