Ohio State | Hometown: Buford, GA | HT: 6040 | WT: 304 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3114 | Wing: 7814
Three year starter, (two at Alabama). First team All-Big 10 in 2024 and Rimington Award winner for the best center in college football. All this in his first season with the Ohio State football program. Graduated from Alabama in 2.5 years with a 4.0 grade point average and a degree in finance. This is all predicated on the player we saw before his Achilles injury in November. Good quickness with excellent footwork helps him control the nose guard. Runs his choppy feet. This athletic center is obviously a very intelligent young man. Plays with a great motor and has the athletic ability to get to second level. Good short lateral burst allows him to get on the edge of the defender. Delivers a good off hand punch. Sound feet help him mirror the man. Keeps those feet moving while defenders try to get free, sometimes overruns the second level block. Gets in position to cut off defensive tackle on outside plays. Pads get higher as the game goes on. Needs to drive people off the ball. Does he have the foot quickness to reach the playside linebacker? Will probably miss rookie camp and parts of training camp. He is mentally tough and a leader on the field. Will need to hold up against NFL power defensive tackles. Could be a prospect for a power running offense. Whoever takes him, will need to be patient as it will take time to get him healthy.
Draft projection: 5th-6th round
