Wisconsin | Hometown: Dublin, OH | HT: 6051 | WT: 310 | 40 time: 5.20 | Hand: 0934 | Arm: 3212 | Wing: 7912
Three year starter (one at Cincinnati). Third team All-Big 10 in 2024. A transfer to Wisconsin after three years at Cincinnati. Primarily a right guard, but played some snaps at center. Has shown good quickness off the ball. Good job as a pulling guard in front of the zone scheme. Has a strong base, where he locks on and drives the defender back. Good first positional step off the ball. Takes short methodical steps. Cleans up on the double team. Fires off the ball onto the shoulder of the center. As center, showed consistency getting the ball back and controlling the defender. Has excellent awareness on the tackle over end line twist. Had a dominant game against Oregon. Gets his butt in the hole. Climbs well to the linebacker. Sets a good strong anchor where he gets his back end down and arms extended. Active, scrambling feet helps him in pass protection, where he is a solid contributor. Has shorter arms. His base is occasionally too wide which affects his overall balance and needs to keep his weight back. Leans forward too much and gives up the edge on a pass rusher. Has the skill set to compete once in camp, getting to the right club will be the trick. His game and skill set are pretty straight forward, and has potential to be a contributor to an NFL team with developmental backup potential.
