Two year starter. Big body with strength and athleticism. Has desirable height and length for an interior defender. Became a full time starter in 2024 and has improved greatly over his career. Flashes quick get-off and powerful hands to stun and separate from blockers. Can forklift a blocker when he’s under his pads on the strike. Powerful lower body keeps his legs churning working shed technique. Normally locates the ball and is effective coming off a block and getting in on tackles. Above average lateral movement along the front. Often used on tackle twists to fill gaps and can be a disrupter. Redirects well in a short space coming off down blocks or stunting. Shows some burst when free. When pad level is right, can hold the point against power. Developing as a pass rusher, he’s shown a club and swim to get immediate pressure and has gotten push with a bull rush. Gets his hands up on quick throws to impact the throwing lane. Uses hands swipes but they’re a work in progress as he can get upright limiting effectiveness. At times some segmentation in movement creates slow reactions. Guards can get into his frame inhibiting shed technique. Needs improvement with hand usage aiming points as he can get outside the numbers at times. Lacks consistency on get-off as he can pop up on the snap and get stuck on a block. Can be late at the snap and sealed on zone plays. He has improved and shown excellent traits to be a quality pro. He’s still a work in progress but upside is tantalizing.
