Ourlads' Profile:
2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TEZ JOHNSON:
Oregon | Hometown: Pinson, AL | HT: 5097 | WT: 154 | 40 time: 4.51 | Hand: 0900 | Arm: 3018 | Wing: 7400
Four-year starter. Four-time all-conference. Spent three seasons at Troy prior to transferring to Oregon in 2023 where he immediately set a single season program record with 86 catches. He made his way there largely because of the connection to Bo Nix. He was adopted by their family at the age of 15 after the two became high school teammates. He is off-the-chart light but can make it work, however, because he can hide some of the deficiencies with elite movement traits. Moves as if he were on ice skates, easily transitioning in all directions with no loss of speed or balance. He is a competitive player as well, showing toughness with the ball in his hands and in traffic. Loosely built with easy bendability. Explosive mover who creates space for himself routinely. Runs routes with excellent tempo and acceleration. Capable of sharp, sudden breaks that are nearly unguardable. Gets to the ball away from his frame on the move. Late hands and reactions can help him overcome size deficiencies in traffic. Does not have a lot of experience against press coverage and was rarely a downfield target. Struggled to cleanly catch the ball as a punt returner. May have a limited ceiling but when it comes to getting and staying open, making plays, and finding green there are very few that can do what he can.
