Four-year starter. Third team All-SEC in 2024. Former walk-on who became a mainstay on the Georgia defense starting in 2021. A quality athlete with first-step explosiveness out of his stance. While his backpedal has some hitches, he gains depth quickly to stay overtop of deep routes. In two-high schemes he does a good job reading the quarterback and getting in position to shut down routes over the top. Has the acceleration and speed to turn and run with receivers downfield. Underneath he uses a physical jam to knock receivers off their route and disrupt timing. Explodes downhill and will meet receivers at the catchpoint with authority. A heat-seeking missile against the run who works his way through trash to get to the ball carrier on the interior and the perimeter. Possesses lateral agility and speed to leverage the ball carrier from sideline-to-sideline. Will throw all of his weight into the ball carrier to get them to the ground. High-motor player who gives one hundred percent consistently in pursuit. His range from depth is not sufficient enough to be a true one-high safety. Tightness in his hips when changing direction causes him to be late getting to the ball often. Tendency to overreact to motion and get out of position. Strength deficiencies show up when attempting to bring ball carriers to the ground. Tackles too high causing him to get shrugged off regularly. Projects as a nasty special teamer early in his career who can carve out a role for himself.
2024 Stats: 64 T, 1.5 TFL, 3 PBU, 1 FF, 1 BK, 2 INT. Draft projection: 5th-6th round
