Ourlads' Profile:
2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about BRASHARD SMITH:
SMU | Hometown: Richmond Heights, FL | HT: 5097 | WT: 194 | 40 time: 4.39 | Hand: 0918 | Arm: 3138 | Wing: 7400
One-year starter. Spent three seasons at Miami as a wide receiver and returner before transferring to SMU where he converted to running back last year. First team All-ACC and an All-American in his one season in the backfield. May be undersized for NFL standards but the number of ways he can help a team can help hide that deficiency. He is a playmaker in every sense of the word. Once he moved to running back and his usage became consistent, he ultimately showed he can produce all over the stat sheet. There is still a rawness to the skill set, notably as a blocker and ball handler, but the natural ability to find green and elude defenders in space is an ideal complement to a pro backfield that already has a power presence. Swift lower body that plays light and slippery. Creates a lot of missed tackles with late movement and accurate vision. Anticipates and follows the flow. Patient runner who can flip the switch and burst through the crease. Diminutive frame and lack of experience show up as an inside runner and blocker. Does not always trust his instincts. Does not power through defenders and the final gear is not enough to run away.
