USC | Hometown: Moorpark, CA | HT: 6042 | WT: 303 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 0914 | Arm: 3012 | Wing: 7714
Three year starter. Has appeared in 52 games in his career, with 46 starts. He’s versatile with18 games at right tackle,12 games at left tackle and 4 times at right guard prior to playing 12 games at center in 2024. The returning captain and veteran standout on the Trojan offensive line, made the move to center as a redshirt senior. Big frame, runs very well, excellent out on the corner on screens. Likes to mix it up in the trenches. Has a great first step, consistently brings the ball back to the quarterback. Finishes plays. Has a quality punch known more for quickness than for jolt. Can anchor against powerful defenders and sinks his hips on contact. He sees what the defense is doing and adjusts accordingly. Punch and mirror normally gets the job done in pass protection. Needs to work on adding some bulk because at 6’5 his weight distribution is spread out. His arms are a couple of inches short of where you’d like him to be. Leans forward a bit too much without the knee bend. Has difficulty when he has a man on his nose, needs time and experience at this position. That said, in his first season as a center, he didn’t appear to be overwhelmed by the new position. In his 40 + game career, he has adequately played all the offensive line positions. His versatility will make him a candidate as a backup along the offensive line.
Draft projection: 4th/5th round
