Navy | Hometown: Jessup, MD | HT: 5107 | WT: 201 | 40 time: 4.57 | Hand: 0934 | Arm: 3014 | Wing: 7458
Four-year starter. First-team All-AAC in 2024, third-team selection in 2023. One of the most productive defenders in college football over the past four seasons with eye-popping ball production. Condensed, thick frame missing inspiring length. Vocal leader of the Navy defense. Football intelligence and his 49 career games show up in all facets of his game. Active hyper feet to explode out of his stance with considerable start-stop ability. Underneath, he identifies threats and is great at positioning himself in throwing lanes and picking off passes. Violent engagement on crack blocks, and sheds with physicality to throw receivers into the dirt. Patient run defender with notable lateral agility when scraping across the line-of-scrimmage. He will sprint through gaps and blocks to meet the ball carrier in the backfield. Always looks to punch the ball out on tackling attempts; eight career forced fumbles. His motor cannot be overstated; flies around the field and will sprint full speed downfield every opportunity he gets to catch ball carriers from behind. Not an imposing athlete and is a step slow in coverage. Stiffness in his hips show up when turning and running with receivers downfield. Gives up too much space in man coverage and lacks the closing speed to get back in-phase. Needs a few tweaks to his tackling technique including keeping his head up and getting under control when closing space. Over-aggressive pursuit angles to the sideline. Early contributor on special teams who can carve out a role on defense.
