Michigan | Hometown: John's Creek, GA | HT: 6066 | WT: 325 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 1014 | Arm: 3418 | Wing: 8234
Ten game starter as a senior after transferring from Stanford following his sophomore year. Son of former All Pro NFL player Chris Hinton and brother of San Diego Charger nose tackle Christopher Hinton. A good character student with top notch academics, he looks the part for being a next level tackle, tall with heavy hands and legs. Had very good games against Oregon and Ohio State. Shows good patience with strong hands and a good punch. Gets a good deep pass set with his long arms providing a good long cushion. On the season, only gave up one sack and 10 quarterback pressures. Gets a good quick pull, but does not finish with a burst at the end. His play is overall a bit slow, particularly against quicker edge guys. Plays too high, gets caught with his head down and will occasionally lead with a staggered false step. In position for double teams but doesn’t finish the play. Being consistent is something that has yet to be seen. Has had more than 2000 snaps between Stanford and Michigan to show his skills. Will be a project to hone the skills needed to elevate to the next level. Can see being a developmental tackle.
