Kansas | Hometown: Lawrence, KS | HT: 5111 | WT: 213 | 40 time: 4.58 | Hand: 0812 | Arm: 2978 | Wing: 7134
Four-year starter. Three-time All-Big 12. Has a thick, sturdy build. Left Kansas as the program’s leading rusher by over 500 yards despite carrying the ball less times than the next three on the list. A stocky but savvy back who excels at the small, finer components of the position. His production was not by mistake nor was it engineered by scheme alone. Does not have the best movement traits, but he does a nice job of staying ahead of the defense and trusting his blockers. Proved he can add to the passing game as both a receiver and blocker which will open doors for his immediate impact and multiple usages. Should be a quick-learner and adapt to a solid backup role early on. Solid contact balance, takes hits well and can bounce off defenders, accelerating off them. Presses the hole in a hurry and shows good anticipation for cutback lanes. Low-to-ground style makes him a tough guy to square up. Late movement will create even more missed tackles. Reliable ball protection, receiving skills, and blocking. Has tightness in his hips that lead to a lack of elusive movement. Will lumber if he does not have a clear path. Overall athleticism is not a difference making trait. Very short arms and small hands lead to a small wingspan and radius which does impede multiple areas.
