Two year starter (one at Indiana State). Rotational player at Western Michigan with technically four starts. Transferred to Western Michigan from Iowa Central CC in 2024. Played his freshman year at Indiana State where he was a starter his one season. Tall corner with average length but solid athletic traits. Played boundary corner using off and press man along with outside zone concepts in quarters and cover three. In off coverage, is smooth going from pedal to lateral shuffle, lateral run, and turn and run. Often plays from a lateral shuffle at the snap. Times transitions to stay in phase through the route. Can be physical in press with an off-hand stab on outside release. Also played a more reactive soft press. Exhibits footwork to match and mirror the release. Sticky throughout the route and doesn’t give up much of a throwing window. Undercuts route breaks and is quick to get his hands in the basket on the throw. Solid vision as a zone defender with a feel for route combinations. Closes throwing lanes with solid positioning on multiple routes. Shows some pop with his hands to separate from stalk blocks. Flashes fundamental tackling skill and can make most plays in space. Lacks consistent aggression on running plays. More of a wrap and drag tackler prone to yards after contact. At times slow reacting to route breaks in off coverage. Plant and drive with the ball in the air can stall due to an extra step transitioning. Has been beaten while in position with poor timing playing the ball. While he has speed, his recovery acceleration seems average. Still inexperienced but has upside to develop.
