Three year starter. Spent two seasons at Maryland and then transferred to Alabama in 2023. He is a big and strong Y tight end who will line up in the trenches and hold his own as a blocker. His strong hands and dense frame will hold up right away against pro linemen. The debate will be whether or not he can show enough as a receiver to reach anything more than a backup-caliber level. Tools are there to be a starter at the next level. Plays heavy as a blocker but has the athletic profile to make things happen in the passing game. Lack of production at Alabama had more to do with the situation than a lack of talent. Does not appear deterred by contested situations. Often the bigger, stronger player in any sort of matchup as a route runner. Showed flashes of being a factor up the seam and will fight for yards after the catch. A fall-forward type runner with the ball. Does not have any creativity post-catch. Struggles to bring the pass in that is away from his frame. Late ball reactions have caused a few drops. Does not show enough twitch as a blocker at the second level. Tends to fall off his blocks when he needs to sustain and his footwork leads to poor initial angles. Has a physical upside that many will never reach, but he struggles to play to his athleticism and size despite an experienced college career.
