Junior entry, two year starter. First team All-ACC the past two seasons. Was also a consensus All-American last fall. Has a big long body and converted from receiver to tight end prior to the 2023 campaign but then had a season ending injury. The son of former Miami Dolphins’ receiver, Oronde Gadsden. Played in 36 games with 28 starts. As a tight end, he caught 141 passes in two seasons. A long body that runs across the field finding windows behind linebackers and under defensive backs. Has displayed good hands in a crowd with a remarkable wingspan to go up and get the ball. Has shown physicality blocking down on linebackers and safeties. Adept at walling off defenders on edge runs. However, his overall skill set as a tight end needs to be continued and developed. Struggles with press coverage, needs to get off the line of scrimmage and in and out of his breaks. He needs to play like a tight end on his releases and inline blocking. Needs to get stronger, and continue to add functional weight and appears to be a good work in progress. Will probably get a majority of snaps unattached in the slot, while he continues to develop his tight end skill set. At this point he lacks the twitch of a wide receiver and the demeanor of a tight end. Big guys who can run and catch are a commodity in the draft and he will have a role.
