Two-year starter. Transfer from Miami prior to the 2023 season. Team captain. Honorable mention All-ACC in 2024, second-team All-AAC in 2023. Versatile with the skillset to play out on the edge or on the interior where he can hold his own. Excellent size with a thick midsection, well-built lower half, and solid arm length. Bend in his extremities when getting down in his stance. Sets a hard edge with an impressive anchor and pop in his punch to create immediate knockback on contact. Creates extension using his length while peaking in the backfield to locate the ball carrier. Uses active, powerful hands to swipe and shed blocks with violence. Able to stalemate pullers with brute strength and hold his ground. Consistent winner in pass rush highlighting an arsenal of moves to win. His club-and-rip move has been his most successful for creating pressure. Redirects underneath easily with an arm-over to squeeze inside of tackles with a clear lane to the quarterback. Collapses the pocket with brute strength and active feet to drive linemen back. Stacks moves on top of each other well with a clear pass rush plan. Excellent suddenness when crossing face with a violent club to slant inside with authority. Strength and form when tackling to finish. Sluggish coming off the line with insufficient burst. Tightness in his lower half shows up when moving laterally and bending off the edge. Lack of twitch makes it easy for tackles to stay in between him and the quarterback. Can play a little chaotic against the run and get out-of-position. Fringe closing speed when finishing on the quarterback. May benefit playing more in a three-down front as a four-tech or 4i.
