Florida | Hometown: Miami, FL | HT: 6003 | WT: 194 | 40 time: 4.49 | Hand: 0914 | Arm: 3038 | Wing: 7558
Four-year starter. Team captain. Suffered an injury midway through the season and missed the remainder of his final college campaign. Can play outside cornerback in both the boundary or to the field. Tall cornerback with a solid build but very short arms. Smooth backpedal with impressive movements skills to excel in coverage. Read his side of the field in cover three with leverage to take away threats over the top. Recognizes threats in his zone both underneath and deep, and takes away the biggest threat consistently. Flies downhill in transition to defend the perimeter. Uses a strong punch with decent strength to slow receivers on their release. Solid hip fluidity when turning with receivers in press man. Considerable man technique with good hand usage to disrupt the route and leans into receivers on the sideline to constrict space. Quick reaction speed and twitch on the break to keep his leverage and stay in-phase. Will run through receivers and use a violent punch to break up passes at the catchpoint. Aggressive on contact with blockers and will give them a hard shove to set the tone early. Destroys blocks using strong hands and a violent shed. Takes proper angles to the sideline in pursuit. Wraps up and tackles well. Receivers pushing him on the release can get him off-balance. Gets his eyes stuck in the backfield and allows receivers to get behind him as a deep third player. Handsy in coverage making him prone for penalties. Looks almost uncomfortable when he gets his hands on the ball leading to drops. While he uses good form, would like to see more violence as a tackler to limit yards-after-contact.
