Three year starter (one at Memphis). Imposing size and length, his measurables are off the chart. Played one, zero, two and three techniques at Florida. Normally plays with good hustle and second effort. Flashes an explosive first step to get into a blocker’s frame out of his stance. Physical at the point of attack with knee bend and a powerful punch. Consistent to stun and separate from blocks using long arms to get extension. Flashes quickness using his length to shed and get through a gap. Solid holding the point, keeping blockers out of his frame. Shows a powerful club move to knock a blocker off balance working to the ball. Can absorb double teams and combo blocks creating opportunities for linebackers. Has a big tackle radius and rarely misses when he gets to a ball carrier. As a pass rusher shows some push with a bull rush to collapse the pocket. Can stress the quarterback’s vision getting his long arms and hands up in the throwing lane while getting a push. Has batted down some passes that way. Flashes a swim move off the bull rush.
