Four-year starter. Two-time all-conference split between receiver and return specialist. Spent three seasons at Middle Tennessee prior to transferring to Virginia Tech in 2023. Was never a volume-based contributor as a receiver, but his versatility and per-touch production has been noteworthy. Was second in the country in average yards after catch per reception among 261 qualified receivers in 2023. While he did not take a step up in 2024, he was the team’s number one receiver and just fourth player in ACC history over the last 20 years to score a touchdown as a receiver, rusher, passer, and returner in the same season. Sudden, twitchy mover as both a route runner and ball carrier. Can burst off the line in a flash. Excels on short to intermediate crossers. Finds green in a hurry. Has unusual length and hand size for his frame. A playmaker who can take advantage of small windows. Does not have natural, soft hands. Does not bring in much away from his body and shows late reactions to the ball. Short area change of direction does not match his vertical speed. Has some lower body tightness and lack of fluidity. His short-step movement style and decisive mindset will give him a fighting chance in an offense that wants a piece to move around on offense and special teams.
