Five-year starter. Spent four seasons at Mississippi State where he made a name for himself as a pass catching back prior to transferring to USC last fall. Produced right away in 2020, tying for the national lead in receptions by a freshman with USC receiver Jordan Addison. Stayed on that trajectory, leaving Mississippi State as the program’s all-time leader in catches. Leaned into more of a traditional backfield role in his final season. A no-nonsense runner who gets north in a hurry. Sets up his blockers and gets right on their hip which will surely help him adjust to the speed of the NFL. Top notch ball protection and third down impact will help him hold on to a backup job at the next level, but the lack of pure power and speed will put a cap on his effectiveness. Needs everything blocked up perfectly to make a real impact as a runner. Pure hands catcher who can get balls away from his frame. Presses the hole fast and stays on time. Glider in space capable of shifting laterally smooth and balanced. Gets the most out of his touches. Was never a big tackle breaker. Struggles to play with power and get through initial contact. Does not outrun angles and will get caught from behind.
