2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ARIAN SMITH:
Georgia | Hometown: Bradley, FL | HT: 6003 | WT: 179 | 40 time: 4.36 | Hand: 0918 | Arm: 3112 | Wing: 7700
One-year starter. A late bloomer who did not make a full-time move to wide receiver until his senior season, he still has a sense of rawness to his skill set. He also ran track for the Bulldogs early in his career where his 10.18 100 meter time is fourth all time in program history. He barely saw the field as a playmaker for four years as he had just 20 catches from 2020-2023 partially due to the players in front of him on the depth chart. Also struggled with drops when he finally did get opportunities. However, his movement traits are special both from speed and agility perspectives and he has picked up nuances to route running. While the ball skills are limited, the lack of career targets could have led to a slower-than-normal development timeline. Can both accelerate and decelerate with ease and smoothness. A constant vertical threat but can separate on all levels of the route tree. Physical mindset; shows no fear as a ball carrier and was used as a gunner on special teams. Lacks feel as a pass catcher. Lets ball into his body at times and does not frame the ball. Light and weak against contact. Goes down easily and was a non-factor in contested situations. Has the elite trait everybody wants, and his 2024 tape showed multiple flashes of explosive playmaking impact.
2024 Stats: 48-817, 17.0 ypr, 4 TD. OSR:9/42. VJ-38.0, SS-4.19. Draft projection: 4th/5th round
