Three-year starter. Spent two seasons at North Carolina A&T prior to transferring to Virginia Tech in 2023. All ACC in 2023 and an FCS All-American in 2022. An undersized but strong and balanced runner with big play speed. His short, compact frame is used as a strength. He’s a homerun threat, scoring eight touchdowns of 20+ rushing yards last fall. Both his timed speed and play speed are dangerous. Runs low and has an ability to change direction while moving at his top rate. Was among national leaders in yards after contact. Shifty and fast with the ability to move at different gears. Sets up defenders and knows how to miss contact with late movement. Bounces off defenders while maintaining eyes upfield with balance. Can see the cutback lane and can burst through it with aggression. Violent, successful blocker who uses footwork to stay in front of the rusher. Lacks length to keep defenders away on the move to the outside. Nine fumbles over his two seasons at the FBS level and has small hands, creating a credible question about ball security. Lacks difference-making hands as a receiver. Ran a very limited route tree. May not hold up as a majority-carry back, but he will be an asset to an offense.
