Junior entry, two year starter. First team All-MAC in 2023 and 2024. First team consensus All-America in 2024. Fannin is the first player from Bowling Green to ever be named a consensus All American, MAC Most Valuable Player (first time ever for a tight end). Had 180 receptions over his career. Competed well at the Combine and showed good overall measurables. Does everything from a football standpoint with excellent quality. Has straight ahead speed to stretch defenses. Solid route runner with deceleration into a break and a burst coming out. Has excellent hands as evidenced by only two drops in his entire career. Knows how to get open and settle in soft spots in the zone. Has body control to adjust to bad balls. Solid catch radius. Fights for extra yards on every reception and has good numbers on his yards after the catch. Flashes blocking skill and gives a great effort with ability to block second level defenders. Played well against all competition both in the MAC and in non-conference games. Has good numbers on his yards after the catch. All this being said, he continues to need to work on releases, and getting off the press. Needs to work on his inside strength, and his flexibility. Pad level gets a bit high when run blocking. Lacks the strength to block inline defenders and is too easily controlled. May not develop into a great attached tight end, however he will be a good move guy with an arsenal of skills to be a good football threat in the NFL.
