Two-year starter. All-Big 12 in 2024. Spent two seasons at LSU prior to transferring to TCU in 2023. His initial season there was hampered by injuries, but this past fall was the possession receiver’s breakout. Was the Horned Frogs’ number one receiver and continued his success at the Senior Bowl, winning the game MVP Award after a strong week of practice. Was not a household name prior to 2024 but was very much on the radar. As a true freshman in 2021, he was LSU’s number one pass catcher on a team that had future pros Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Kayshon Boutte. Bech is both technically proficient and savvy, giving him a sense of dependability and consistency. Sturdy build with a physical mindset. The aggressor in confrontations. Takes the initiative to bully a press corner and shows a variety of nuances to gain separation. Excels at selling routes and times his break well. Comes back to the ball and rarely lets one touch the turf if he gets his hands on the ball. Dominant in contested situations showing concentration and coordination with powerful hands. Will compete after the catch and plays hungry both with and without the ball. Does not play as big as his frame suggests. Short arms and wingspan. Radius is not very big for the style he plays with. Top speed will struggle to get over and stay over the top. Shows some tightness post catch, lacking the wiggle to create. The lack of pure speed and length does shorten his ceiling but everything he does outside of running routes and catching balls will make him a winning player.
