Three year starter. Second team All-ACC in 2023 and first team last season. His father was drafted and played for the New Orleans Saints. Long, tall tackle prospect with a lengthy frame. This graduate student had a very workmanlike season at right tackle. Passes the eyeball test as a player. Very intelligent and doesn’t appear to be phased by defensive schemes. As the game continues on, he appears to get stronger. Gets extension on run blocks and can lock on and drive a defender. Solid puller with a strong base kicking a defender out of the hole. An elite pass protector. Has a firm anchor stopping both the bull rush and the oncoming blitzing linebacker. Has strong hands, once he clamps you it's over. Uses his long reach to pass protect and lock out the rushing opponent. Very patient in his pass sets and utilizes his length. Gets his feet in the ground and shows remarkable agility for being such a tall tackle. Sometimes he seems a little late off the ball. Being so tall, sometimes has difficulty getting lower which hampers his ability to run block. Has a strong competitive nature and understanding of the game. Needs to continue to physically develop as he appears to have a lean looking body. Needs to continue to refine his run blocking skills to match his top shelf pass protection skills. A little more girth will not hurt him. Projects as a developmental player with top shelf pass protection skills.
