Oregon | Hometown: Littleton, CO | HT: 6053 | WT: 247 | 40 time: 4.63 | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3314 | Wing: 8100
Three year starter. First team All-Pac 12 in 2023. Missed two games with an emergency appendectomy in 2024. At the end of his Oregon career, the highly productive receiver holds school records for receptions (134) and touchdowns (16) by a tight end. Big frame with functional strength. Natural hands catcher who can regularly make the grab away from his frame. An ideal red-zone player with excellent body control, catch radius, and ball skills to make difficult catches. Can align in the slot and create physical mismatches against smaller nickel defenders. Outruns most linebackers on vertical routes. Runs patterns with good strength to fight through contact early in his stem. With an NFL ready build, he flashes as a blocker with a low pad level inline. Can climb to linebackers and defensive backs on the perimeter. Can block in space and latch on. Has the frame and tools to be an effective inline run blocker but effort is inconsistent. Doesn’t get much movement on run blocks. Doesn’t create tremendous separation against man coverage. Lacks quickness in his routes. Has limited ability to avoid the tackle after the catch. Can make difficult catches but he’s not a great battler on contested balls. Needs to improve his overall toughness. Has the tools to be a two way tight end and can also be an asset on special teams.
2024 Stats: 43-591, 13.7 ypr, 3 TD. OSR:1/15. VJ-39. Draft projection: 3rd/4th round
