Four-starter year. All-Big 10 all four years including first team honors in 2023. Rocked up frame that can handle contact. He delivered on expectations right away in 2021, setting an all-time program record for true freshmen with 19 touchdowns and second with 1,248 yards. Missed multiple games each of the next two seasons because of multiple lower body injuries. While his per-touch production remained high, he has not carried or caught as much volume in a single season since that historic freshman year. With that said, he is an explosive big play threat every time he gets his hands on the ball. Can fill any role a team wants out of a back at a high level and he will bring the winning team-first, physical mentality to the locker room. Has true runaway speed combined with an aggressive running style. Can get through cheap contact. Stays square to the line as he moves laterally, keeping all options open as he makes his move downhill. Breaks tackles a variety of ways. Shows late wiggle and a strong stiff arm in space. Makes the defender commit. Will push through piles and keep the feet active. Contributes to the passing game as both a blocker and receiver in a big way. Rarely puts the ball on ground, just one fumble over 650 career touches. Will get tight at times. Needs an extra step when adjusting his weight laterally. Lacks natural anticipation which hinders his full explosive ability. Will hesitate before contact at times.
