Junior entry, three-year starter. Played at Mississippi for two years where he earned first team All-SEC honors in both 2022 and 2023. Transferred to Ohio State last season where he earned All-Big 10 honors.Ideally built from the neck down. Jam-packed frame with tree trunk thighs and thinned out ankles. Exploded onto the national scene as a true freshman, rushing for 1,567 yards which is the second most all-time behind Herschel Walker among first year running backs in the SEC. The aggressive runner has no quit in his second effort. He is a complete back who can handle the inside running game and is especially suited for a zone-blocking scheme that allows for some freedom as he moves downhill. While there is an athleticism shortcoming in the open field, his impact will be strong in condensed areas, and he can stay on the field all three downs. Willingly finds contact and wants to run through the defender. Has the late, subtle movement to open a window of extra yards after contact. Breaks tackles with both movement and physicality. Presses the hole, runs with urgency. Well-timed cuts with proper anticipation. Excellent ball handling and control. Fumbled just once over his last 500 touches. A try-hard blocker who alters his approach. Tends to freelance in gap concepts. Needs to be more disciplined and play within the scheme. Does not have the speed to outrun angles of second and third level defenders. Will get caught from behind. Does not add an explosive element.
