Ohio State | Hometown: San Diego, CA | HT: 6047 | WT: 317 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 1038 | Arm: 3418 | Wing: 8200
Junior entry. Three year starter (one at San Diego State). Transferred to Ohio State in 2023 after starting 13 games at right tackle at San Diego State. Started 13 games at left tackle in 2023. Honorable mention All-Big 10 in 2024. Only played 6 games last season because of a knee injury. This big framed tackle has very strong hands. Quick off the ball in run blocks and keeps his head up. Runs well in space, and keeps a solid foundation against the defensive lineman’s tug. Gets out on cornerbacks with a good aiming point and quickness in the quick screen game. Gets on the hip of the guard with an exceptional burst. Adept at cut-off blocks and also uses his burst to seal the edge on the wide “9” technique. Keeps his feet moving to sustain blocks. Strikes consistently on quick set passes. In pass protection, shows excellent footwork and strike capability not giving too much ground on punch and mirror. Tough to beat him on the edge. Strikes and settles his feet in anticipation of defender’s move. Flashes a lower body anchor but at times catches rushers leaving him vulnerable to a bull rush. Gets in an overset position, with too much of a forward body lean, which could be from an overall lack of strength. A good athlete when healthy, he has continued an upward trajectory since leaving San Diego State. After his knee injury in October, his projection to the next level is based on how well his rehabilitation continues. If healthy, he has first round talent and can be a quality NFL left tackle.
