Junior entry, three year starter. First team All-Big 10 in 2024, Conerly started all 28 games as a sophomore and junior. Good quickness when pulling, this coincides with him being an above average skilled athlete. Has long arms. Moves smoothly around the line of scrimmage which helps him “front” the man he’s blocking. Does a good job of maintaining a wide base. Has a low center of gravity and normally plays at a good pad level. Has shown the ability to rise to the occasion when competing against highly rated competition. Playing in Oregon’s diverse offense is a big plus going to the next level. Great step in getting hip to hip with the guard in pass protection. When he sets and strikes he creates space. An elite pass blocker, he shows the footwork to mirror speed rushers. Reacts well to counter moves. Seemed to get stronger as the season went on. Pass sets a bit high, needs to be stronger with his inside hand. Must continue to develop overall strength, but when he does his ceiling will be huge. Needs to improve upon being more physical at the point of attack. Needs to bend more and continue to develop finishing blocks. Will occasionally catch defensive lineman, he has some difficulty with the inside move. Has some trouble against edge power rushers. His hands can get outside on the shoulders, losing power. Has to work on getting his hands more inside. Needs to use his foot speed to his advantage. There is a huge amount of upside for him. An ascending prospect who can project to either guard or tackle in the NFL.
