2025 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DONOVAN JACKSON:
Ohio State | Hometown: Bellaire, TX | HT: 6035 | WT: 317 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 1018 | Arm: 3412 | Wing: 8334
Three year starter, Second team All-Big 10 in 2022, first team the past two seasons. Second team All-American in 2024. Two time Academic All-Big 10. Passes the “eyeball test” with imposing size. Missed his first start in 2024 from an undisclosed injury in week three against Marshall. Primarily played guard but was moved to left tackle for most of last season due to Josh Simmons’ injury. Did not miss a beat at tackle. Great pad level and strength at the point of attack. Clamps defender and moves him, takes play side shoulder from the defender. Has power at the point of attack. Solid drive blocker with consistent footwork and drive. Is a next level talent, nothing in his game shies away from “big boy” football. Easily slides along the line of scrimmage. In pass protection, he lets the action come to him and eliminates it. Long arms and solid base show up in pass protection. Punch keeps blockers at bay allowing him to react to various moves. Sinks his hips with power and can absorb a bull rush without getting moved. Range as a tackle is limited. Much more effective inside as agility is below average. Tends to get out over his toes creating problems redirecting. Needs to be more instinctive and patient climbing up to the linebacker as a run blocker. Can be beaten on gap charges by quick defenders. Needs to continue to work on his lateral quickness and agility. In a 50/50 run to pass offense in college, he appears well schooled for the next level. He’s a solid second day pick.
Draft projection: 1st/2nd round
