Penn State | Hometown: Mechanicsville, VA | HT: 6054 | WT: 256 | 40 time: N/A | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3134 | Wing: 7612
Two year starter. First team All-Big 10 and first team All-America in 2024. Also winner of the John Mackey Award as the nation’s top tight end. Strong physical prospect at the top of the class. Excellent size for the position, he’s a two-way prospect who will make a difference both as a receiver and inline blocker. Versatile player, who was a high school quarterback, is equally adept as a slot receiver and a hand in the dirt tight end. Had 17 receptions for 224 yards in the game against USC. He played in a 50/50, run/pass offense. Had 153 career receptions, while playing in 54 games with the Nittany Lions. Shows the ability of finding soft spots in zone coverage along with solid route running skill. He’s a threat to make a big play with the ball in his hands. He fights for and gets extra yardage after the catch and is tough to bring down. As a blocker, he is quick off the ball and comes off with a good pad level to drive a defender off the ball. Has played fullback both as a runner and blocker. As an “attached” tight end, he is a physical finisher. Can be featured in both the power based “12” personnel or in spread offenses running the seams. Although most of the time he plays unattached to the offensive line, it seems he rises to the challenge when the game is on the line. At the next level, he will have to work on moving defensive personnel off the ball. His level of play continued to climb as the season went along. Top prospect in the draft at tight end.
2024 Stats: 104-1233, 11.9 ypr, 8 TD, 218 yds rushing, 8.4 ypc, 4 TD. Draft projection: 1st round
