Texas | Hometown: Humble, TX | HT: 6051 | WT: 315 | 40 time: 5.16 | Hand: 1012 | Arm: 3312 | Wing: 8438
Junior entry, three year starter. First team All-SEC and consensus All-America in 2024. Won both the Lombardi Trophy Award as the nation’s top offensive lineman and the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top lineman in 2024. Solid core strength and lower body girth. Versatile, athletic prospect with excellent footwork and lateral movement. Solid base with consistent balance. Effective run blocker with power pop on contact and leg drive. Comes off the ball with power and attacks a defensive lineman with a flat back and an upward rise. Consistently squares up on defenders with a low pad level to gain leverage. Adept at coming off on double teams and combo blocks to displace a blocker from the gap. Comes off a double team to the second level extremely well. Gets to linebackers on the move and can seal them from the play. Uses arm length as a cushion in pass protection. Exhibits a strong punch and mirror and can stay with athletic edge rushers and ride them out. Has an athletic base to get in front of and react to pass rush moves and counters. Active with powerful hands to keep defender’s hands out of his frame. Generally shows a strong anchor against a bull rush but can be a bit soft on the edge. Will punch a little high at times, and a powerful defender can get a push shrinking the pocket. Shows some vulnerability to inside moves. Needs to show more consistency in his hand placement and needs to consistently finish plays. He has been a solid tackle but could find a home at guard with his skill set. Either way he can be a long time elite starter in the NFL.
