Junior entry, three year starter. Has been the top rated prospect at left tackle. An All-American in 2024 and All-SEC the past two years. Big-bodied and experienced left tackle. Good core strength and power to go with excellent footwork. Throws his initial punch from a good position with a jarring force. Film, at times, looks like a highlight tape. A very sound technician with knee bend, hand placement and leg drive. Good upfield footwork on zone blocking. Gets to the second level and absorbs the
linebacker. Strong movement on down blocks, he clears out the B gap on run blocks. If he gets too far over his toes he usually recovers quickly. Very
intelligent player who communicates well with the other offensive linemen. Battle tested in the competitive SEC. Good feet and quickness can make up for a deficiency in arm length. Very good pass protection with range to ride the defender out and ability to pass off line twists. Can punch and mirror with agility to handle a variety of counter moves. Exhibits a strong anchor against a bull rush sinking his hips and moving his feet. Adjusts well to edge rushers stacking moves. Ran well at the Combine, showing good straight ahead speed. His lateral quickness and agility show up on all of his game tape. Needs to continue to develop his “tool box” as he becomes a pro. Can be susceptible to arm over because of body lean. But at his height it’s tough to get the arm over. Occasionally oversets opening up an inside counter. Must get stronger on stopping the defenders inside move. Shorter than ideal arms and wingspan are a concern projecting to tackle in the NFL. This could necessitate a move inside to guard. A top candidate for a team in need of help on the offensive line.
